There was good news for Sonas Apc Ltd which Sr Mary Threadgold founded many years ago it has been recognised by an international body and been given an award recently for its work in the field of dementia. Below is an excerpt about the award taken from the website:
Sonas received a GSK IMPACT Award
The GSK Ireland IMPACT awards are designed to recognise and reward community-based charities that are doing excellent work to improve people’s health and well-being in Ireland. This is the first year of the GSK Ireland IMPACT awards, an expansion of the GSK awards in the UK and the USA that have been running for 18 years, focusing solely on health and well-being charities in Ireland.
Sonas Apc can be very proud to be recognised by GSK Ireland as a leading charity in trying to improve peoples’ health and well-being in Ireland. This award will help Sonas Apc to continue to provide people with dementia and their care partners with evidence-informed supports, to enable them to live full and meaningful lives. The Sonas Apc team were presented with the IMPACT award at a ceremony in Dublin on October 22nd.
If you go to the Sonas Apc Ltd website, you will see a short video about the Programme. Visit http://www.sonasapc.ie/news/
